Under Attack

This one started off as an experiment in creating a star field with some swirly gaseous stuff thrown in for fun. I was happy enough with the how the background turned out that i decided to complete the pic with some kind of story. This was originally just produced as a bit of fun but I think, although not as polished or time consuming as much of my other work, it turned out well enough to be used in the calendar. Plus it has Matt in it and Matt has been severely and un deservably under drawn of late. (He is coming back into the main story big time... just hold on for a bit longer.)

Anyway, this is Matt and Terinu on board the Celestial Marauder prior to Terinu's escape. Mavra Chan has decided to pick a fight with one of her rivals and has taken her ships into battle. Ranking as cabin boy and kitchen hand respectively (okay, slaves actually ), all the boys can do is hang on and hope their ship doesn't get blown up.

Time taken... about 8 hours including a lot of stuffing around for the fun of it. All digital, no paper was harmed in it's creation.
